This version changes the way errors are handled when decoding a user authentication request to avoid username enumeration. The server-side authentication component is not affected by this issue and will ignore any SSH_MSG_USERAUTH_SUCCESS message sent by the client.Ĭhanges in Bitvise SSH Server 7.46: In Bitvise software, authentication state is managed in separate client-side and server-side components. Our understanding is that the libssh issue arises due to commingling of authentication state for server-side and client-side purposes.
